Terms of Use
What this service is
ytdescriptionextractor.com is a free online tool that shows you public metadata about YouTube videos, including the description, tags, thumbnails and transcripts. It uses Google's YouTube Data API v3 for metadata and fetches public caption tracks for transcripts.
By using the site, you agree to
- Only extract metadata for videos you have a lawful reason to inspect.
- Not use the service to abuse, harass, or impersonate a creator.
- Not attempt to overload the service with automated requests. We rate-limit heavy use and may block IPs that try to scrape at scale.
- Not resell or rebrand the output as if it came from your own service.
What we don't do
We don't provide video or audio downloads. We don't give you access to private, unlisted, or region-restricted videos. We don't store your search history.
Accuracy
The metadata shown comes directly from YouTube. We display it as returned. If YouTube changes or removes a field, the tool's output will reflect that change. We can't guarantee a number you see today will be identical tomorrow.
Availability
The service is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it online, but we don't promise uptime. Occasional maintenance or API-side changes may cause short interruptions.
Intellectual property
YouTube, Google, and video content belong to their respective owners. The metadata you copy through this tool is subject to the original creator's rights. This site's design, source code, and written content belong to us unless otherwise noted.
You're welcome to cite or quote short snippets of blog posts with a link back. For anything more, ask us first.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage caused by using this site. That includes lost revenue, missing descriptions, or decisions you made based on data the tool returned.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
